GMM Grammy Retains exclusive broadcasting license for the "UEFA EURO 2016" for the second consecutive time in Thailand

GMM Grammy has obtained the exclusive broadcasting license for the Finals of “UEFA EURO 2016 FRANCE” from Paris.  All final matches will be broadcasted live through the GMM Z set-top-box beginning June 10th, 2016 and ending July 10th, 2016.

Mr. Rafah Damrongchaitham, Chief Operation Officer (Content Management) of GMM Z Trading Company Limited, announced that GMM Grammy Public Company Limited has signed a contract which entitles the company to the license to broadcast the Finals of ‘UEFA EURO 2016 FRANCE’ from Paris. The company retains the     exclusive broadcasting license for the second consecutive time in Thailand.

Mr. Rafah said “Obtaining the license to broadcast ‘UEFA EURO 2016’ will stimulate viewing demand in the market. With Grammy’s excellent sport team and famous commentators, we expect this broadcast to be more exciting than before.  For the first time the 2016 finals will be a 24 team tournament, having been expanded from the 16 team format.”

In addition, GMM Grammy has obtained the rights to broadcast UEFA Euro 2016 in Laos and Cambodia too.

The matches will be played in 9 cities and 10 stadiums: Lens, Lille, Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Toulouse and St-Etienne. The Finals of ‘UEFA EURO 2016 (51 matches)’, will be broadcasted via GMM Z platform’s GMM Sport channel throughout the season.
